2996 Tribute to September 11

Five years ago, our lives changed tremendously. Sadly, some lives wouldn't have the chance to change because their lives were abruptly taken away from them. Today is a day to honor those people with the 2996 Tribute.

Today, I'm proud to honor Richard Dennis Lynch. Though I didn't personally know Richard, I'd like to share a little that I do know about him. Richard lived in Bedford Hills, New York. He wasn't far from the City, just a train ride away. Richard was 30. While we call it the big 3-0, 30 years old is far too young to die. He was one of the victims killed inside the World Trade Center on September 11. He was young and full of life, a life that ended way too quickly.

Please join me in saying this prayer for Richard Dennis Lynch.

Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

(Prayer Source: Catholic Family Handbook, The by Rev. George A. Kelly, Random House, Inc., New York, 1959)

Let us always remember those whose lives ended tragically on September 11 and let us never forget.

May God Bless all of us.
